Cardlock access systems provide superior control over user access to a site.
With standard key locks, giving different users access to the building and different offices and other rooms can often require many different keys, and a single user losing his keys, or having them stolen, can mean needing to re-key numerous locks and replace every other user's keys - an expensive proposition in office and professional buildings. Cardlock systems allow a manager to easily control which users have access to designated areas of the building, without the need for excessive numbers of keys. Specific access can be easily added or removed, or revoked entirely, for an individual user, and adding new users no longer requires cutting new keys. All user access may be logged, to easily track which user is unlocking any door; this can be used to supplement or as a replacement for clock-in/clock-out systems. As an addtional security measure, the controller may be interfaced to most DVR (Digital Video Recorder) systems to overlay log text on a camera image, to confirm whether a person using an access card is the authorized user of that card. |
